Terms of Use

Welcome to Field Parent. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Field Parent app, website, and services (the “Service”) provided by Field Parent (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract to create an account. By using Field Parent, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your password and account secure and for all activity that happens through your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it when it changes. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

Field Parent offers Free, Family, and Pro plans. Paid plans are billed through our payment processor, Stripe. When you start a paid plan, you authorize us to charge the selected price on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the in-app subscription manager; cancellation stops future charges but does not refund the current period. Prices and features may change, and we will give you notice before any price increase affects your renewal.

4. Your Content

You own the information you add to Field Parent, including child profiles, activities, custody details, expenses, lists, and uploaded documents. You are responsible for having the right to add that information and for sharing it with the co-parents you invite. We use your content only to provide and improve the Service.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by: entering information about people without a legitimate family or caregiving relationship; using the Service to harass, stalk, or monitor someone; attempting to access another family’s data; interfering with the Service’s security; or using the Service for any unlawful purpose. Field Parent is a coordination tool, not a surveillance tool.

6. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party tools such as Google Calendar, Gmail, and routing and payment services. Your use of those services is also subject to their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties, and their availability may affect features of Field Parent.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that imported data (such as activities extracted from email) will always be accurate — please review any AI-generated suggestions before relying on them.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Field Parent and its providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or schedules, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Field Parent harmless from claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or the rights of others.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the app’s settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we stop offering the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as disclaimers and limitations of liability) will remain in effect.

11. Disputes and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Field Parent operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. We will try to resolve any dispute informally first. Any claim must be brought within one year after it arises.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email and update the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
